My passion, miniature painting
I began my career as a jeweler, setter and master apprentice at the Ecole d’Art Appliquée in La Chaux-de-Fonds.
At the end of my studies, I turned to the field of high-end watches, which offered me great opportunities to create and express my artistic passions.
Thus began my career as a miniaturist painter for major watch brands.
Miniature painting is a permanent challenge
After a long and fruitful career, I decided to indulge my lifelong passion for painting and drawing. In 1996, I embarked on a career in miniature painting, using watch dials as a base, for which I have a great deal of experience.
This specialty met with great success with major watch brands, who regularly commissioned me to create exceptional, one-of-a-kind dials.
Miniature painting has since become my trademark, as well as that of the workshop that bears my name.
L'atelier André Martinez
Five skilled, friendly artists produce high-quality, high-precision work. They create one-off pieces or series of a few dozen pieces.
Housed in a villa in Le Locle, the workshop is a haven of peace and inspiration. Surrounded by lush greenery and a winter garden, conditions are excellent for feeling at home and finding the energy to create the most beautiful dials.
The workshop is located at 10 rue des Sorbiers.
